With more than 1200 women entrepreneurs, career professionals, and leaders in attendance, the event had top speakers such as Bonang Matheba, Kim Jayde, Ayanda Thabethe, Dr Khanyile, Rapalang Rabana and many more.
Known for her work ethic, determination and generosity, South African multi – award winning radio host, TV presenter, MC and style icon, Bonang Matheba, affectionately referred to by fans as Queen B, has firmly positioned herself as Africa’s most sought after entertainment personality and SA’s number one social media darling.
In March 2019 Bonang then became the first Black Female member of the Cap Classique Producers Association when she released her own luxury “House of BNG” Brut and Brut Rose Methode Cap Classique MCC’s, selling out within its first week.
She Leads Africa and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) partnered to organise SLAY Festival Johannesburg.
AUDA-NEPAD co-organised this event under its flagship project “100,000 SME’s by 2021” which is in line with the African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson’s “1 million by 2021” Initiative, aiming to provide concrete opportunities for 1 million youth by the year 2021.
At SLAY Festival Johannesburg, AUDA-NEPAD hosted a session where they provided attendees with practical advice and resources to help them build Pan-African businesses.
